The Municipal Chief Executive for Bawku Mr. Amadu Hamza has sent some words of appreciation to the Management and Staff of the Agriculture Development Bank ADB Bawku branch for their uninterrupted services to the people of the area. At this year’s Damba Festival celebrated by the Mamprusis in Bawku, Mr. Hamza said,
“All public sector workers have left the Municipality. All the banks have closed up including the courts and SSNIT except ADB.”
According to him the closure of the banks and other financial institutions affects business transactions in the area.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank the management of ADB for staying to serve us despite the situation we find ourselves in Bawku. Almost all departments have left but you (ADB) have stood your grounds to serve us. We are very grateful to you for your services.” Mr. Hamza commended.
The insecurity situation in Bawku has left many businesses stranded and some organizations collapsing. Many jobs have been lost and the living standard of the people dwindled.
