UE/R: SOCO PROJECT FACILITATORS URGED TO WORK HARD FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE PROJECT – DCE NABDAM

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted two watchmen of Bolgatanga Girls Senior High School following an alleged sexual assault involving a special needs student
According to a statement issued by the GES on Thursday, preliminary reports indicate that the student, who is on medication, reportedly suffered a relapse and required medical attention. It was during this period that the alleged assault is said to have taken place
The two watchmen have since been arrested and handed over to the Ghana Police Service to assist with investigations
The GES has also interdicted both suspects with immediate effect pending the outcome of the investigations
The Service said it is treating the matter with the utmost seriousness and assured the public that appropriate sanctions would be applied in line with the GES Code of Conduct and the laws of Ghana should the allegations be substantiated
GES further reminded all staff to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and to safeguard the safety, dignity, and well-being of every student, stressing that it will not tolerate any conduct that endangers learners
The Service also assured parents, guardians, and the general public that a thorough investigation is underway and that justice will be pursued
