Two Watchmen of Bolgatanga Girls Senior High School (BOGISS) have been remanded into police custody by the Bolgatanga Circuit Court over allegations of defiling a 14-year-old student
The accused persons appeared before the court on Thursday, August 20, 2026, where the presiding judge ordered that they be kept in police custody pending further investigations
The court subsequently adjourned the case to September 2, 2026, when the accused are expected to reappear
The alleged incident has sparked concern among parents, students, and members of the public, with many calling for justice and stronger measures to protect students in educational institutions
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing, while the identities of the accused and the victim have been withheld to protect the integrity of the case and the privacy of the minor
