UE/R: SOCO PROJECT FACILITATORS URGED TO WORK HARD FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE PROJECT – DCE NABDAM

The 2024 Frafra Inter Community Unity Soccer Tournament crowned a new champions as Bolga Soe beat former winners, Tanzui Community on penalties.
The journey to the final was far from simple for either side, as Tanzui Community beat the defending champions, Tindonsobligo Community 1 : 0 playing with 9 players for more than 25 minutes whilst Bolga Soe Community have to dig deep to beat Bukere Community 3 : 2 in the semifinal stage of the tournament.
In the final game that was regarded as the battle of “the cream della cream of Frafra Communities in Bolgatanga Municipality,” both teams realized the stakes were higher than ever before and so they came in prepared and put in impressive performances which saw the game ending in a goalless draw game after regulation time.
The game had to be settled through the spot kicks which eventually saw Bolga Soe emerging champions from the penalty lottery with a 4 : 3 win over Tanzui Community.
The final match attracted one of the biggest crowds the Bolgatanga Mobil Park has seen in a long time. The euphoria and sentiments of the supporters came naturally.
From heartbreak to utter delirium to suspends, being a football loving fan during the Frafra Inter Community Soccer Tournament was a tumultuous experience, particularly at the finals.
The winners took home a giant trophy, gold medals, Exercise Books to be given to school kids within the Community, Ghc3000.00 and a borehole to be drilled for them by the Title Sponsor of the Tournament, Zayoka Construction Limited.
The runners up were presented with silver medals, Exercise Books and Ghc 2800.00.
Gabriel Asampana of Bolga Soe FC was awarded the best player accolade whilst the most promising player went to Francis Ayamga of Bolga Soe Community.
The golden gloves award went to Tanzui Community keeper, Carlos Mensah with Bukere Community Hafiz Botique emerging as the Top Scorer of the tournament.
The 2024 Edition of the Frafra Inter Community Soccer Tournamnet was sponsored by Zayoka Construction Limited, supported by HomeBoy Trading, Zid Herbal Mixture, S. Abugri Enterprise, Queen Latifah Supermarket and Akayet Hotel.
The Frafra Inter Community Unity Soccer Tournament is an annual football competition that brings the Frafra Communities within the Bolgatanga Municipal together to promote peace and co-existence.
