The Kenneth Elvis Anewenah Foundation has commemorated the 54th birthday of the late Dr. Kenneth Elvis Anewenah with a humanitarian outreach in the Upper East Region.
The annual “Meals on Wheels” initiative, held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, provided food and other essential support to vulnerable groups and selected institutions in memory of the late philanthropist. Speaking during a media briefing, Mr. Moses Bamideke Amao said the initiative was aimed at sustaining Dr. Anewenah’s legacy of compassion, generosity and service to humanity.

This year’s programme expanded beyond the provision of cooked meals to include donations of baby cots to selected Mother and Child units, books and stationery to orphanages, as well as pharmaceutical supplies to the Navrongo Central Prison. The Foundation visited the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital, God’s Love Orphanage, Mama Laadi Children’s Home, Next Generation Children’s Home, the Bolgatanga Main Lorry Station, the Upper East Regional Prison and the War Memorial Hospital in Navrongo.
At the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital, the Head of Administration, Mr. Samuel Azure Atuba, expressed appreciation to the Anewenah family, the Foundation and its staff for the generous support and appealed for continued visits and assistance to the hospital. All the institutions and communities visited expressed gratitude to the Foundation and the Anewenah family for the gesture. They prayed for God’s continued blessings and progress for the Lesken and Myturn companies, while also praying for the soul of the late Dr. Kenneth Elvis Anewenah to continue to rest peacefully in the bosom of the Almighty.

Mr. Amao also identified the poor condition of the prison kitchen and compound, as well as the theatre at the War Memorial Hospital, as areas requiring attention. He said the Foundation would look into the concerns and explore ways to assist.
The outreach marked Dr. Anewenah’s birthday not merely as a celebration, but as a reminder of his life as a brother, father, friend, employer and philanthropist whose legacy of kindness and service to humanity continues to impact lives.
