UE/R : NDC TALENSI CONSTITUENCY CAMPAIGN SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED

The Talensi Constituency National Democratic Congress’s campaign was officially launched yesterday at the Winkogo township by the National Chairman of the party Hon. Johnson Aseidu Nketiah amidst a thick party sympathizers and supporters from across the constituency.

In a speech chairman Aseidu Nketiah who could not hide his joy in connection with the love and unity exhibited by the rank and file of the party in the constituency urged members of the party to continue their support and love shown the party’s parliamentary candidate Hon. Daniel Mahama since his emergence as the leader of the party in this year’s parliamentary elections. He expressed confidence that the people of Talensi in general would join the rest of the Ghana to walk with John Mahama to government with Daniel Mahama as an MP. He admonished members not to fall for skirt and blouse campaigns of the NPP and remain steadfast in the propagation of the vision and policies of the great NDC.

He assured the chief of Winkogo, Naba Moses Aganzoa, his elders and residents that the next NDC administration would not turn its back on their developmental needs.

Earlier in his speech the Parliamentary Candidate Hon. Mahama recounted the provision of educational materials and supports given to the two main secondary schools in the area; Big Boss and Tongsec, his supports to BECE candidates as well as sponsoring two successful health screening and surgery exercises. Also, the provision of portable drinking water to communities in need and youth empowerment support schemes are some of his personal initiatives worth mentioning, the impact of which is being felt in advancing the course of Talenteng and its people.

Outlining his vision and policies geared towards developing the constituency Hon. Daniel Mahama reiterated his determination to leverage on the party’s policy for market improvements by constructing a starlight market in Winkogo and improve the conditions of existing markets in the area. The PC maintained his firm resolve to follow up and lobby with the next NDC administration to tar the Talensi Eastern Corridor road to link the Bolga-Bawku road through Sheaga to Duusi and the improvements of other inner city roads. The completion and conversion of the Yameriga E-Block to a training college would be given attention as well as the establishment of a police post in Winkogo and to also connect the remaining communities of the Talensi area with the national electricity grid through the NDC’s established policy of rural electrification.

The PC called on the people to consider his personal track records of supporting his constituents and the unmatched records of his predecessors and the NDC and vote massively for him and his boss come December 7, 2024.

Other speakers during the ceremony included, the incumbent MP and Chairman of NDC Talensi campaign team, Hon. B. T. Baba, Hon. Malik Basintale, Deputy National Communication Officer, the Talensi Constituency Chairman of NDC John Millim Nabwomya, Secretary, Hon. Augustine Mmi-oni Guure, former Parliamentary Aspirants; Hon. Edward Awunori, Mr. Solomon Zinekena TTB, Mr. Dickson Kurug Kpelim-etime, Mr. Nathaniel Kugre Daaran, Madam Teni Anachinaba, Treasurer, Madam Lydia Miyella, Constituency Women’s Organizer and Mr. Sumaila Pankang, former Constituency Chairman.

Each of the above speakers impressed upon members to work together so as to retain the Talensi seat as well as return the NDC party back to power come December 7.
