The North East Regional Minister, Ibrahim Tia, on Wednesday July 22, 2026 begun his three-day inspection tour of ongoing and completed development projects across the region, with his first stop at Nyelinkpe in the Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri District

During the visit, the Minister inspected a newly constructed modern three-classroom block funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund). The facility comprises a staff room, a headmaster’s office and a six-seater KVIP toilet facility

The project replaced an old mud structure that previously served as the community’s school, significantly improving the learning environment for pupils and providing better working conditions for teachers

The inspection forms part of the Minister’s efforts to assess the quality and progress of government funded infrastructure projects in the North East Region
The tour is expected to provide first-hand information on the status of various GETFund and road projects to guide future interventions and ensure value for public investment
The Regional Minister is expected to continue the tour in other districts over the next two days, where he will inspect additional education and road infrastructure projects aimed at improving the socio-economic development of the region
