UE/R: SOCO PROJECT FACILITATORS URGED TO WORK HARD FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE PROJECT – DCE NABDAM

The North East Regional Minister, Ibrahim Tia, will on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, begin a three-day inspection tour of ongoing GETFund and road projects across the North East Region
The tour is aimed at assessing the progress of work on key infrastructure projects and ensuring that contractors are delivering according to agreed timelines and standards
Speaking to GBC URA Radio, aide to the Regional Minister, Rashid Asinga, said the inspection would provide the Regional Minister with first-hand information on the status of the various projects.
He explained that the visit forms part of the Minister’s commitment to monitoring government funded development initiatives and addressing any challenges that could delay their completion
According to Mr. Asinga, the Minister is expected to interact with contractors, project consultants, local authorities, and community members during the tour to gather updates and identify practical solutions to any implementation bottlenecks
The inspection is expected to cover selected GETFund educational infrastructure projects as well as major road construction and rehabilitation works across the region.
The Regional Minister has reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring quality infrastructure development to improve education, transportation, and the socio-economic wellbeing of residents in the North East Region
