New NPP Regional Executives Sworn into Office, Pledge to Reclaim Upper East for 2028

The newly elected Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have officially been sworn into office, marking the beginning of a new chapter of leadership for the party in the region.

The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by the immediate past Regional Chairman, Lawyer Anthony Namoo on Saturday August 15, 2026 after a successful Election at the upper East regional house of chiefs in Bolgatanga

Lawyer Namoo charged the new leadership to remain united, work tirelessly, and reposition the party for victory in the 2028 general elections

Addressing the executives, Lawyer Namoo urged them to focus on rebuilding the party’s grassroots structures and intensifying efforts to reclaim parliamentary seats currently held by the National Democratic Congress (NDC)

He encouraged the team to reverse the NDC’s clean sweep of all 15 parliamentary seats in the region and return the NPP to electoral success in 2028

The newly sworn-in Regional Executives are :

Regional Chairperson – Elvis Figo Awonekai

First Regional Vice Chairperson – Ayamba Georgina

Regional Secretary – Daniel Ayine

Regional Assistant Secretary – Anaane Johnson

Regional Treasurer – Dr. Daniel Ziba

Regional Organizer – Bombande Edmund

Regional Women Organizer – Asaaba Fatima

Regional Nasara Coordinator – Musah Delwinde

Regional Communication Officer – Dr. Samuel Akonga

Regional Youth Organizer – Salahu-Deen Musah Al-Khomeini (elected unopposed)

The new executive team is expected to lead the party’s reorganization efforts, strengthen unity among members, and spearhead strategies aimed at returning the NPP to power while reclaiming parliamentary representation across the region ahead of the 2028 elections
