NPP National Elections : Constitutional Amendments at 9am, Voting Begins at Noon on October 3

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has released the official programme and voter identification requirements for its National Officers Elections scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026

According to a notice issued by the party’s National Officers Elections Committee (NOEC) on Wednesday, September 30, constitutional amendments will commence at exactly 9:00 a.m., with the election of national officers expected to begin at 12:00 noon

Voting will be conducted across 31 polling stations for nine national executive positions

The positions are:

National Chairman
Vice Chairman
General Secretary
National Organiser
National Women’s Organiser
National Youth Organiser
National Nasara Organiser
National Treasurer
National Communications Director

EC to verify delegates

The notice, signed by Frederick Opare-Ansah, Chairman of the NOEC, states that the Electoral Commission (EC) will conduct the elections and verify every voter

To be allowed to vote, each delegate must have their name on the official delegates’ register and present one valid identification document.
The accepted identification documents are:
• Voter ID Card
• Ghana Card
• NPP Party Card

The party has advised all delegates to come along with at least one of the approved identification documents and allow sufficient time for verification before voting begins

The NOEC has also directed all constituency, regional and national officers to bring the arrangements to the attention of delegates under their respective jurisdictions

The notice is part of preparations for the NPP’s national conference and elections, which will determine the party’s elected national officers

The NPP says punctuality and cooperation from delegates will be important for the orderly consideration of the constitutional amendments and the smooth conduct of the elections
