UE/R: SOCO PROJECT FACILITATORS URGED TO WORK HARD FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE PROJECT – DCE NABDAM
The Navrongo Central Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region, has inaugurated its campaign team to canvass for votes in the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
The team, which comprised several Party stalwarts and executives, was led by the Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the area, Alhaj Abdallah Otito Achuliwor.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony in Navrongo, Mr Anthony Namoo, the Regional Chairman of the Party, said division within the Party in the Constituency led to its defeat in the 2020 Parliamentary election.
He said the Party had, therefore, learnt it lessons and would work together in unity with a common sense of purpose not to only capture the seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), but ensure that they won the Presidential election.
Mr Namoo congratulated the campaign team, and said the task ahead of them was enormous, and urged them to put in their best to ensure the Party recaptured the seat from the NDC and ensure a win for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Party’s Flag bearer.
He recalled the contributions of the late Mr John Setuni Achuliwor and the late Mr Joseph Kofi Adda, who were both Members of Parliament for the area, and worked to ensure the area got its share of the national cake.
The Regional Chairman further encouraged the Party to massively support the Parliamentary Candidate for the area and solicit votes for him to lead the Party in the Parliament.
Mr Joseph Adongo, the Kassena-Nankana Municipal Chief Executive, emphasized the need for the rank and file of the Party to put aside any differences they may have, and work in unity to secure victory.
The MCE said, “We are one with one agenda, which is to win the seat and the general election come December 7, 2024 all must come out to work.”
Alhaji Achuliwor on his part, stressed the need for reconciliation, noting that they were one family, and must stay united and formidable to drive the campaign to victory.
The PC pledged to provide the needed resources for the campaign, and admonished members of the team to ensure the resources would be put to judicious use.
