UE/R: SOCO PROJECT FACILITATORS URGED TO WORK HARD FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE PROJECT – DCE NABDAM

The Paramount Chiefs of Kasena Nankana Traditional Areas have declared their unclenching support for the search for the new Vice Chancellor and Registrar for the CK-Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciencs led by professor Awandare to provide strategic direction for the young but promising University especially the criteria and produres put in place by the Governing Council for the appointment of the new Vice Chancellor and the Registrar
The Paramount Chiefs further said the will support the university management team that would be put in place to help position the university to achieve its mandate of providing quality higher education, research, knowledge generation and dissemination with emphasis on basic and Applied Sciencs and mathematics for the socioeconomic development of Ghana and beyond.
However the chiefs are not enthused of the attempts by faceless individuals to missinform,, mislead and incite a cross-section of the youth of Navrongo against the Governing Council and its highly esteem Chairman during the process of a search for new Vice Chancellor and Registrar.
The chiefs therefore served a serious warning that such counter-productive acts will not be countenanced henceforth while urging members of the university community to resort to well established internal procedures for dispute resolution, and equally entreat the police and the National Investigation Bureau to act swiftly to avert unwanted demonstrations and acts of violence intended to disrupt the smooth running of the university.
According to the chiefs CK-Tedam Team university of Technology and Applied Sciencs is a national asset and the people of the Upper East Region are privileged to have it situated on their land, it therefore behoves on them to jealously guide and protect it, hence the urgent need to eschew needles litigation and acts of violence that have the tendencies to detail the progress of the university.
The chiefs therefore seize the opportunity to appeal to the government, development partners, corporate entities and well-meaning individuals to come to the aid of the university in its quest to address the infrastructural inadequacies, through the construction of lecture halls, hostels, science laboratories and office space for smooth academic work.
