The Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Akamugri Donatus Atanga, on Saturday led a clean-up exercise in the Bolgatanga municipality as part of efforts to improve environmental sanitation in the regional capital.

The exercise was conducted alongside the Municipal Chief Executive for Bolgatanga, Hon. Roland Ayoo, and the National Youth Authority (NYA), which participated as part of activities marking its week-long National Youth Day celebrations.

Personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces also joined the exercise, working alongside government officials, youth groups and residents to desilt drains, clear refuse from public spaces and improve sanitation across parts of the municipality.

The initiative underscored the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a clean environment and highlighted the commitment of the Regional Coordinating Council and its partners to promoting environmental cleanliness and public health.
