UE/R: SOCO PROJECT FACILITATORS URGED TO WORK HARD FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE PROJECT – DCE NABDAM

Major General Dr. Timothy Tifucro Ba-Taa-Banah, Director of the National Counter-Terrorism Fusion Centre, has welcomed journalists to a National Security Council Secretariat workshop being held at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale

The workshop, organised under the theme “Responsible Journalism for National Development,” brought together media practitioners from Upper East, Upper West, Northern, North East and Savannah Regions to strengthen collaboration between the media and national security council in promoting peace, stability and national development
Speaking on behalf of the National Security Coordinator, COP Abdul-Osman Razark, Major General Dr. Ba-Taa-Banah highlighted the growing security challenges and tensions within the West African sub-region and stressed the need for vigilance, cooperation and responsible reporting to help safeguard Ghana’s peace and security.
He encouraged journalists to continue upholding professionalism and ethical standards in their reporting, noting that responsible journalism plays a critical role in preventing misinformation, promoting national cohesion and supporting development.
The Director also urged all citizens to remain alert and actively support national security efforts by reporting suspicious activities. He reiterated the national security campaign message: “See Something, Say Something,” emphasizing that public cooperation is essential in preventing crime and countering security threats
The workshop is expected to enhance understanding between the media and security agencies while promoting responsible journalism as a key pillar of national development.
