Bongo – Volunteer Group commissions new computer lab to Tadongo Basic School

A volunteer group in Zorko Tandongo has handed over a computer laboratory to the Tadongo Basic School in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region.

The school which was built in the 1950’s severed Zorko and its adjoining communities, it was one of the best performed schools in the Bongo District, it suddenly begun recording very low performance in the BECE this prompted some citizens of the Zorko Tandongo Community they therefore came together as a volunteer group in 2021, upon enquires from the school the then headteacher mentioned that, the school did not have teaching and learning materials for preparation of lesson notes for teaching.

Sixteen (16) of them came together and donated teaching and learning materials in 2021, in 2022 they made a donation of 7 computers to the school and followed up with a new computer laboratory this year.

Mr. Mathias Nyaaba appeal to all citizens of Zorko also known as (Zagsi) and NGOs to come to the aid of the school.

Mr. Christpher Amigangre said “Zorko is bigger than Tadongo and that if many more people join the volunteer group, they could extend the donations to the other suburbs of Zorko”.
