UE/R: SOCO PROJECT FACILITATORS URGED TO WORK HARD FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE PROJECT – DCE NABDAM

The National Democratic Congress, NDC Flag bearer for the 2024 presidential elections, Mr. John Dramani Mahama pledged the establishment of what is called the Farmer Service Centres, FSC across the country as a motivation and also a support to benefit our hardworking farmers across the length and breath of this country. The farmer service centres according to the former President of the Republic of Ghana would be well equipped with farm implements such as tractors, combined harvesters among others and what the farmers need to do in order to access these services would be to form co-operatives. This he lamented would reduce farmer struggles during the farming season in their quest for such services the cost of which were mostly not affordable.
In a similar fashion, Mr. Mahama announced further plans by the new NDC government to establish the National Apprenticeship Scheme, NAS, which Wii ensure the registration of all apprenticeship masters to train the school dropouts and the less privileged on apprenticeships skills at a cost through the Metropolitan Municipal and District Assemblies. After the successful completion of this training programs trainees would be equipped with start ups to enable them start on their own.
Mr. Mahama indicated that the School Farm System would also see a revival to improve school nutrition and as well serve as extra income for school management when produce from such farms are sold.
He also said a comprehensive tree planting regime would be carried out under his presidentcy. Under this policy he said government in collaboration with traditional rulers and land owners would acquire lands with the provision of poly tanks to ensure the availability of water at all times to water the planted trees which would ensure their survival.
