UE/R: SOCO PROJECT FACILITATORS URGED TO WORK HARD FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE PROJECT – DCE NABDAM

The Municipal Chief Executive for the Bolgatanga Municipality Mr. Rex Asanga has announced that the ongoing construction of the Bolgatanga Mechanical Enclave at Kalbeo, a suburb of Bolgatanga would beautify the municipality when completed in few months to come.
The idea of an enclave to house the many dispersed artisans and mechanics in numerous locations across the township according to the MCE was born by the Assembly aimed at bringing all the artisans at one enclave for easy access to their clients and enhanced service delivery.
Interacting with the media after a site meeting with project contractors and consultant, Hon. Rex stated that the move would sanitised the Bolgatanga township roads of these mechanics some of who are found in hidden areas within the municipality.
URA News interaction with the site engineer, Eng. Samuel Kwame Tete who conducted members of the media round the project indicated that the project is being undertaken in three separate components; 4 number 8 unit Mechanical Sheds and a 2 Number Mechanical Yards with BULBA Ghana LTD as the contractor, a One Number 24 Mechanical Stores for sale of spare parts; a two-storey facility which includes a restaurant, dining area as well as washroom with MOHAF Company LTD as its contractor and a 1.7km stretch of road from the main road linking the enclave which includes the inner roads of the enclave with MALSON LTD as its contractor.
Eng. Kwame Tete stated that each of the three components of the project was awarded on contract on the 26th July 2024 and expected to be completed on the 28th February 2025 were valued at the cost of GHC 13, 260, 596.47 million , GHC 6, 861,561.00 million and GHC 5, 173,599.29 million respectively.
The Bolgatanga Mechanical Enclave has also a Police Station and a Fire Station to check and manage criminal activities as well as fire outbreaks respectively in the area.
