President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to completing abandoned public infrastructure projects across the country, stressing that taxpayers’ money invested in such projects must not go to waste
Speaking during an inspection of the abandoned four-storey Central Laboratory Complex at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) in Navrongo on Thursday, August 13, as part of his Resetting Ghana Tour of the upper East region, President Mahama said the government was determined to revive stalled projects that are critical to national development.
He noted that completing abandoned projects remains a key priority of his administration, emphasizing that public funds already invested in them must be put to productive use
The President described the UTAS Central Laboratory Complex as an important facility that would significantly enhance teaching, research, and innovation at the university once completed
The inspection formed part of President Mahama’s tour of the Upper East Region under the Resetting Ghana Tour, aimed at assessing development projects and engaging with local communities on the government’s development agenda
