“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!” – Bissa Community in Pusiga Explodes, Accuses Pusiga MP of Political Witch-Hunt Against Its Professionals

By – Sadat Dabo

Tensions are rising in the Pusiga Constituency after the Bissa Community issued a strongly worded public statement accusing Member of Parliament Hajia Laadi Ayamba Ayii of allegedly using political influence to target and undermine prominent Bissa professionals occupying key public positions

The Statement issued by Ayuba Alhassan, Secretary of the Association on Friday August 21, 2026 titled “Enough Is Enough,” the association alleged that the MP has been linked to efforts aimed at removing Lawyer Alhaji Shaibu Musah Gutare, a Procurement Officer at the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), and Dr. Halidu Musah, Principal of Gbewaa College of Education

The group claimed that Lawyer Gutare’s position at the GRA has come under threat through alleged political interference and called for an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the matter. It stressed that if any wrongdoing exists, due process should be followed, but warned against what it described as attempts to use political influence to destroy the career of a professional

The association also raised concerns over what it described as an alleged coordinated campaign to remove Dr. Halidu Musah from Gbewaa College of Education

According to the statement, several individuals have allegedly participated in efforts to unseat the Principal through petitions, misinformation and political lobbying. The association emphasized that these claims should be independently investigated and urged that any concerns about Dr. Musah’s leadership be handled through established institutional procedures

Addressing Hajia Laadi Ayamba Ayii directly, the statement warned that the Bissa community’s long-standing political support should not be mistaken for unconditional acceptance of actions perceived to undermine its members.
“Do not mistake our respect for weakness. Do not mistake our political loyalty for political blindness,” the statement declared

The association maintained that it is not demanding special treatment for Bissa professionals but rather fairness, justice and protection from alleged politically motivated victimization

It further warned that if the alleged targeting continues, the community would pursue lawful democratic actions, including petitions to state institutions, requests for independent investigations, engagement with Parliament, public education campaigns, media advocacy, peaceful demonstrations and a review of its political relationship with leaders it believes no longer represent its interests

The group insisted that its statement should not be interpreted as a threat of violence but as “a declaration of democratic responsibility.”
Calling for evidence rather than propaganda, the association challenged anyone with legitimate allegations against Lawyer Gutare or Dr. Halidu Musah to present them through the appropriate legal and institutional channels instead of relying on rumours or political influence

The statement concluded by reaffirming the community’s commitment to peace, dialogue and development while insisting that it would no longer remain silent over what it described as a growing pattern of hostility toward Bissa professionals and development-oriented leaders

As of the time of publication, Hon. Hajia Laadi Ayamba Ayii and the individuals mentioned in the statement had not publicly responded to the allegations
