Management of the consolidated Bank Ghana has extended its services to the Navrongo Township in the Upper East Region. The physical infrastructure located in the Kasena Nankana Municipality is expected to offer exceptional banking experience, devoid of robbery and money laundry through their technological banking offer. This is in fulfilment of the management’s objective to provide dedicated and unique banking services to communities they operate. The Navrongo Branch in the Upper East Region is expected to cater for the banking needs of customers in the township and its surrounding communities. At a ceremony to officially inaugurate the facility, the deputy managing director of CBG in charge of operations, Mr. Tahiru Ndungu mentioned that;
“CBG has achieved a lot in its five years operations and including the number of small businesses we have supported in the form of loans. 80% of our transactions are done online and only 20% transactions are down in the banking facility.”

Mr. Tahiru added that the bank was in partnership with the Development Bank of Ghana that has been set up to help in the economic growth of the country.
“We are not just bringing a physical building; we are also bringing different ways of banking. We have our people in the market opening accounts, collecting cash and giving business advice to our clients. We are also using the money from the Development Bank of Ghana to reach out to all the small businesses, give them the training on business.”
The Managing Director of CBG, Mr. Daniel Addo said he was particularly excited because of the motivation he sees ahead and the hope for them to maximize their contributions to the community and the country at large. He expressed confidence that the location of the bank will attract customers especially those who are engaged in smaller businesses and agricultural.
“I’m supremely confident that this strategically located branch will attract numerous customers and become a key driver of progress in the Navrongo Township. We are here to help the individual businesses and help grow your finances and also contribute our quota to nurturing the community.” Mr. Daniel Addo emphasized.
The Navrongo Municipal Police Commander, DSP Kingsley Kofo Kanda assured management of the bank of maximum security protection in the area. The Kasena Nankana Municipal Chief Executive, Joseph Adongo was happy that CBG has come to soar up the development of the Municipality and especially their interest in small scale businesses and pledged his readiness to give them an open room to operate in the area.
