The Upper East Region Football Association, competition department has set January 9th 2026 as the start date for the second round of their second division League.
According to a communique released by the Association , the Second Division League will go on break for two weeks and resumed on January 9th 2026..
The Upper East Region Second Division League have so far produced some interesting results with Zorkor United leading the pack in Zone 1 with 19 points from 7 matches played whiles Bolga Soccer Masters leads Zone 2 with 18 points and Paga Crocodile Stars takes charge of Zone 3 with 15 points.
In the battle for survival, Bongo Hassan Stars are languishing in the relegation zone with 4 points in zone 1 whiles Bolga Stoppers FC have just 3 points in Zone 2 , occupying the bottom spot in that zone and Paga Japan Stars whom are yet to win a match in their zone ( 3) have just a point from 7 matches played.
The opening day of the second round will see Kassena Nankana United take on Awarey Stars whiles Samba Stars welcome Toende Stars at home with the Bongo derby headlining that zone fixtures with Young Reformers taking on Hassan Stars at the Bongo Town Park and Zorkor United playing at home to Yelwoko Wingers FC.
In Zone 2, Bolga Soccer Masters will take on Bolga FC, Winkogo Dynamic Sharpers taking on Real Bolga United, Berekum City takes on Walewale Catholic Stars with Bolga Soccer Stars playing at home to Bolga Stoppers FC.
In Zone 3, Sirigu Super Stars will take on Wiaga United, Japan Stars play as host to Real Builsa United, Liberty Stars at home to Mission Warriors and Saboro FC will take on Paga Crocodile Stars.
The league is expected to end in April with the Middle League taking place in May to determined the team that will qualify for the National Division One League.
