In addition, the company provided medals, a trophy and customised jerseys for the league champions at a total cost of approximately GH¢ 17,600
Donald Yizura, President of Mirigu Sporting Club, one of the beneficiary clubs, described the sponsorship as a major relief.
“This is a huge one for us. Before this sponsorship package, teams struggled to pay officiating fees in previous seasons. This support has taken a significant financial burden off my club and every participating team. We are grateful to Kacstone Records for coming on board to support us.”
More than financial assistance, the sponsorship represented a strong vote of confidence in the future of football development in the region. Grassroots leagues form the foundation of Ghana’s football pyramid, with many of the country’s celebrated footballers beginning their careers in similar community competitions before progressing to the national and international stage.
