The Charger Group of Companies, producers of Happy Man Bitters, Black Coffee Gin, and other popular brands, has come to the rescue of the people of Kalbeo Avolbisi by commissioning a borehole for the community, which has long suffered from a lack of potable drinking water.
For years, women and children in the community have struggled to access clean water, affecting their health and daily livelihoods. This borehole, fully funded and constructed by Happy Man Bitters under the leadership of its CEO and founder, Dr Emmanuel Bortey Borketey, has brought much needed relief to the people of Kalbeo Avolbisi.

At a colourful commissioning ceremony, the Chief, traditional leaders, and elders of the community expressed their profound gratitude to Dr Borketey and the Charger Group for this timely intervention. They highlighted how this borehole will significantly ease the burden on women and children who walk long distances in search of water, allowing them to focus on education and other productive activities.

This project forms part of a broader initiative by Happy Man Bitters to provide clean and safe water to communities in dire need across the region, recognising water as a basic necessity that no Ghanaian should struggle to access.
The leadership of Charger Group reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its social responsibility efforts, emphasising that the company’s success is tied to the well-being of the communities it serves.
