Mr. John D. Mahama, Former President and Flagbearer of NDC

This is the first time the TUC has decided to come out with its own vision for Ghanaian workers dubbed “The Workers Manifesto”.

It covers social, economic, labour, energy and power and governance.

The Workers manifest is to shift the political discourse by moving it from personality attacks to issue based. It is also engender opportunities for Ghanaians to live and work together in unity.

The flagbearer of the NDC, Mr John Dramani Mahama assured the TUC of working together to enhance the status of the Ghanaian worker.

He therefore expressed gratitude to the TUC for presenting the first copy of the Workers Manifesto to him and the NDC.

“We will study it carefully and incorporate the relevant provisions into the People’s Manifesto” Mr. Mahama said.
