The New Patriotic Party, NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Mr. Elvis Awonekai Figo lauded the Party’s preparedness to work tirelessly with all stakeholders of the party to ensure victory for the party come December 7, 2024 calling on the rank and file of the party to mend their differences and be discipline in their collective efforts geared towards ensuring the party wins both the presidential as well as the parliamentary elections in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency of the Upper East Region.

The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Bolgatanga made these known following the successful inauguration of the 78 member Bolgatanga Central Campaign Team at the Catholic Social Centre auditorium in Bolgatanga the regional capital.

Asked what was being brought new into this year’s parliamentary contest, he said he had been talking to the electorates within the 12 zones of the constituency outlining his vision and plans to them and that many disappointed as well as descending voices were more than prepared to share in this vision and his burning desire to develop the Constituency should he be given the mandate as the law-maker for Bolgatanga come 2024 general elections unlike his main opponent, the incumbent Hon. Isaac Adongo who sits in Accra saying he was a national figure and as such would not waist his time to campaign again because it was a done deal for him. The PC therefore assured party faithfuls that his team have no room for complacency as such would leave no stone unturned to ensure this collective goal of wining the Bolgatanga Central seat for the first time for the NPP was achieved.

He accused the Bolgatanga Central Constituency Member of Parliament of not using his Common Funds to address the needs of his constituents but rather accumulated it up to the tune of One Million Ghana cedis meant for his last minute campaign urging the constituents to make excellent use of the funds anytime it was due them and show him the exit door come December 7, 2024 for Hon. Isaac Adongo and his National Democratic Congress, NDC had taken for granted the residents of the Bolgatanga Central Constituency for far too long.

Mr. Awonekai pledged an open door administration to all manner of constituency members irrespective of party affiliation adding he believed everyone’s effort was needed in this direction.

Following the successful launch of the 74 member Talensi Constituency Campaign Team of the Upper East Region, the New Patriotic Party, NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Talensi Constituency Mr. Robert Ayinenaba Alibo had unveiled further plans to be undertaken by the team to ensure clear victory for the party come December 7,2024 general elections.

Interacting with gbcuraonline.com after the launch, Mr. Alibo who would co-chair the team announced that plans were afoot to launch the Electoral Area Campaign Teams as well as the Polling Station Campaign Teams. The move according to him was to get all abled men and women to be part of the drive towards securing victory for the party in both the presidential as well as the parliamentary elections in the constituency.

He assured party faithfuls present that the team was made up of people with the right capacities and could deliver given the opportunity to serve with the right targeted areas to help facilitate the campaign activities in the area.

Questioned what he was bringing new onboard his campaign to make a difference in the coming parliamentary elections he said the party presented a new candidate who had served in many capacities as a social worker with a fantastic experience, ranging from polling station level to the constituency as well as in the world of the Non-Governmental Organisations where he impacted positively on the lives of his constituents in many respects and his footprints were everywhere for all to see.

The PC denied the notion that the Talensi Constituency was a stronghold of the opposition NDC saying it was something that was yet to see the light of the day. He urged well meaning individuals of Talenteng to disregard it.

The PC expressed confidence of bringing change and to give meaning to a proper representation in parliament come 2025.
He pledged to lobby relevant authorities for more developmental projects for the area given the opportunity to serve as the member of parliament for Talensi.

The Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) for the Bongo Constituency, in the Upper East Region, Lawyer Charles Bawa-Dua has thrown a word of caution to the party ahead of the 7th December, 2024 General Elections.

According to the Private Legal Practitioner and Former Executive Secretary of Larbour Commission, the party must not be complacent and think the 2024 election is a foregone conclusion despite the current economic hardships Ghanaians are facing.

He admonished party faithfuls to put their eyes on the ground and work for a resounding victory of the party in order to rescue Ghanaians from the sufferings they are going through under the NPP Government.

Lawyer Charles Bawa-Dua was addressing party faithfuls at the Bogrigo Primary School as part of his four days thank you tour of the constituency.

He urged that, every party member must eschewed the act of complacency ahead of the elections as the party needs all and sundry to wrestle power away from the NPP as the NPP will be doing everything possible to win the elections.

He added that the December 7 election will be a hard and tough one, and the NDC must fight with all the seriousness and not be overconfident that it will win the election on a sliver platter.
“We must be vigilant on the day of the election, we must be united to fight the NPP, we must not leave any stone unturned as this will be a battle that we need everyone on board to win, we must be focused,” he concluded.
