Former Upper East Region Minster, Prof. Ephraim Nsoh Avea has asked members of the NDC to unite for overwhelming victory in Ghana’s next general election this year.

“So let us unite, disband all campaign factions, close our ranks, and work together so that we can rescue the country. We must put our house together so that we can regain the mandate of Ghanaians to rescue this country,” Prof. Avea added.

The former Upper East Regional Minister under the erstwile former President Mahama’s Administration, made the call when he was addressing party faithfuls at the final day of the Thank You Tour of the Parliamentary Candidate of the Bongo Constituency, Lawyer Charles Bawa-Dua, at the Bongo Senior High School.

According to Prof Avea, the NDC must remain united in the constituency and work together towards victory.

He said the NDC is the only viable alternative for Ghanaians in the 2024 general elections.

He expressed his readiness in working assiduously with the parliamentary candidate and members of the party through its policies and track record to rescue the nation from the abyss. He took a dig at the government for subjecting Ghanaians to excruciating hardships, adding that the next NDC government will not be complicit in the economic mess created by the government.

“NDC is the party to rescue Ghanaians from the hardships they are going through under the NPP, so the party base and supporters must work assiduously to ensure victory for Lawyer Charles Bawa-Dua and President John Dramani Mahama”, Prof. Avea reiterated.

Prof. Avea was one of the aspirants for the party’s Parliamentary Primaries of the Bongo Constituency. He and the incumbent MP for the constituency, Hon. Edward Bawa lost to Lawyer. Charles Bawa-Dua.

He pledged his outfit readiness in supporting the parliamentary candidate to retain the seat and also canvas for more votes for the NDC’s flagbearer John Mahama to win the presidential Election.
Prof. Avea, however, cautioned the party faithfuls not to be complacent but remain focused and engage themselves in aggressive grassroots campaign and remain united to recapture power in this year’s election.
